GOOD STONE DAY

Hic sunt leones. It's really hard in this era to go all in with self-serving stuff. Yeah, cringe is dead, blah blah, but bullies of all ages are very alive.

Since my favorite character loves stones more than his very own existence, probably, japanese fanartists collectively decided November 14, Good Stone Day in Japan, was a sort of "let's draw this specific character and make it a trend" day. I usually loathe trends, but this one is so inoffensive I thought I might as well. Not to mention very little people draw him, honestly, so I welcome it even more for this reason.

Why do little people draw him, you say? Because his hairstyle is absolute fucking ass to draw right is my guess. For those who never tried to draw it ACCURATELY (notice the emphasis on "accurately"), it's a layered and very asymmetrical hell of an antigravity haircut. Every time I draw the character I fall in despair, get mad at all the spikes and straight lines that prevent me from toying a bit with possible hair softness in the artwork, and wonder how many gel factories he finances.

Who's the girl on the right? Oh, my OC. That's why I opened with the "self-serving" topic. She's called Hoshi, I invented probably as many possible stories for the character as there are stars in the sky, I kinda want to ship them together but, as I said, cringe culture ain't dead and probably I'm better off making my own totally-not-Daigo inspired OC so that I can dodge all bullets and be peaceful, even though that will probably reduce the possibility that anyone would be interested in my stuff to near zero.

So yeah, anyway, Hoshi showing Daigo-san a pretty Ice Stone. I'm genuinely not unhappy of how it came out. I even went back to my ancient moe-like style for this one. I wonder if I'll stick with it from now on or keep changing style with every doodle. The background is just a cutesy CSP premade asset.
