ABOUT ME

Bluesky | Cara | Pixiv

Hello, you can call me Kohaku. I'm a quite old woman who hails from Southern Italy. I'm saying this to warn you: my English might have hiccups or some hybrid syntax. I'm used to the "old style of the internet", and I've never truly got used to social media, their rules and the way they work (also see De Social Media if you want to reeeeally know what I think about those). For this reason, and to try and not completely lose my mental health, I decided to make a website like in the old days.

I can write in both Italian and English fluently. My spoken English is funny. I google-translate all other languages.

I really like anime, manga, football (and other sports), music, and videogames. All my hobbies revolve around those. Oh, about football, I'm a big fan of FC Internazionale and US Avellino.

I'm an amateur artist, and an amateur writer. I'm terrified by the current state of things though, so I'm very hesitant not just to expose my works, but to... make them, in the first place. People seem to be out for blood over the most insignificant things. Also, communities are quite toxic on average. It makes me sad because I do want to connect with other people, but many times it ain't worth it...

I'm pretty much omnivorous in terms of what I consume, but you won't find me annoying you or insulting you if you post something that's outside my taste. When it comes to social media, at most, I will ignore you, mute you if I don't want your content on my TL, or block you in some cases, but please don't take it personally: it's the only way social media give you to curate your webspace. And that's why I hate them. As of now, I am only on BlueSky(the url of this very website is the handle you can find me with). Yeah, you might bump into me in some comment section of other places like YouTube, but that's it.

I like many Pokémon-related things, but not all. For example, I don't really like the ash-nime and I absolutely hate GO. Horizons is fine but I'm way behind. I'm a huge fan of the mainline games, but I have barely touched any spinoffs. I played Pokémon Masters for a long time.

I'm (not-so) secretly a yume. I'm scared to act on that too though, because there are too many people who make that practice appear extremely embarrassing, bringing it to extremes. Onlookers wouldn't really stop and check whether I'm a sane specimen.

As for other things I enjoy, I'm sure you will find other things out while browsing the website. I really want, in time, to represent almost everything I like in it, in some way.
